GSEP to host affiliate event at Global Climate Action Summit
On September 14, 2018, the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP) is hosting a roundtable discussion on the role of utilities and electrification of end-uses in decarbonizing all sectors of the economy.
The event is officially affiliated with the upcoming Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, California.
At this event, leaders from the international electricity sector will speak about how utilities and electrification can help other sectors to decarbonize in the context of a rapidly evolving, digital world. The focus of the event will be on opening cross-sector dialogue between the electricity industry, policymakers and governments, and end-use industries like lighting, energy efficiency, buildings, and manufacturing.
The discussion will build on a recent GSEP report, “New electricity frontiers: Harnessing the role of low-carbon electricity uses in a digital era” which encourages action from industries and policymakers to achieve large-scale electrification.
Attendance is by invitation only.
