About the speakers

Evan Wilcox

Evan Wilcox leads the efforts of BOLD Transmission, an affiliate of American Electric Power (AEP), for the development and commercialization of the patented BOLD™ transmission line design.  Formerly, he was the Director of East Transmission Planning for AEP, where he oversaw all transmission planning and project development functions for AEP’s seven states in the PJM Interconnection region.  Evan holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University, an MBA from Capital University and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Ohio.

Paul Loeffelman

Paul Loeffelman serves as the Director, Corporate US External Affairs and Head of Corporate International Affairs for American Electric Power (AEP). In this role he is responsible for developing state, regional and federal public policies in the United States related to all aspects of current and emerging energy efficiency and grid modernization issues including policy issues, technologies, and customer programs. He is also responsible for international affairs, developing international public policies working with multinational business coalitions and non-government organizations.
